Kearney High Speed Railway in Moscow 1933

From the Kearney Files Sydney Sun March 24th. 1933 Treated like a Prince Mr. Chalmers Kearney the Australian who had been engaged on enterprises for the Soviet. Informed a representative of the "Sunday Sun" that if his plans for an underground railway now being carried into effect, were successful large sums would be spent on transport facilities in 1933. "There has long been intense opposition to my scheme" declared Mr. Kearney. "This attracted the attention of the Soviet to my railway and they invited me to Moscow". "I was treated like a Prince and given 100,000 roubles for expenses, I was entertained and supplied with a motor car and chauffeur and accommodation in a luxurious suite.

This is to be the final installment to our blog. Myself and The Kearney High Speed Railway Archive, have decided to bring to a end our publication and research. We have decided to do this because we have taken it as far as we can at the present time. There are other area's within the story of Elfric Wells Chalmers Kearney, that others may want to explore. These include :- Monte Carlo to Nice, Portsmouth to Gosport, Leeds, Hull and Venice. Locations he tried unsuccessfully to have the his system adopted. We have touched on these locations previously within the pages of our blog. There is still a lot of research to be done on this story. For example his relationships with some of the leading personalities of the Transport industries of the 20th Century. Henry Ford is one. Elfric always stated to various Governments and Authorities, that he had American finance to assist with the funding, but would never name his sources.
