 3241. The you made Me. Gattie's acquaintance, and you have taken over the position of Advisory Engineer to the New Transport Company? --- Yes, on the railway side.

3242. I see the Clearing House there, and the yellow and blue spaces, and what not, The red or pink space is the Clearing House? --- Yes.

3243. Let us take the North ; those two yellow spaces looking like receivers to a telephone? --- Yes.

3244. Those are where you said the lines fanned out. Is that in the open or is it in tunnel? --- To make it, it would be in the open, but, of course, it would be cut and covered.

3245. You would have to acquire that space? --- Yes.

3246. And then you would relet it or deal with it in the best way you could afterwards? --- Yes.

3247. But after it had been once constructed, it would be in a tunnel?  --- Yes.

3248. I suppose a brick tunnel? --- Not necessarily the whole of it ; the lower parts might be open to the daylight, but I do not know.

3249. At what level would you be below the surface? --- About 35 feet down.

3250. The rail level would be about 35 feet below the surface? --- Yes, about that.
