He would build it at a cut price

£6000,000 Against a £1,000,000 a mile.

AFTER BRIDGE.

Following the offer of an English company to build the Eastern Suburbs Railway for £1,000,000 smile, Dr. Bradfield has provided material for an amazing sequel by stating that he can construct one for £6000,000 a mile.

It is understood that he made this statement yesterday to the Acting - Premier, after Mr. Buttenshaw had inspected a working model of the Kearney High Speed Railway, which has been suggested for the Manly to Newport and Eastern Suburbs line.

Earlier in the day Mr. Buttenshaw had a personal interview with Mr. E. W. Chalmers Kearney, who is understood to have offered to build the Eastern Suburbs Line. A similar offer was made a few weeks ago to build the Manly line with £4,000,000 of English capital.
