Scotland Yard Apologises

London August 19th.

Scotland Yard has apologised to Mr. Chalmers Kearney an Australian engineer and inventor of the Kearney Railway.
A Constable arrested Mr. Kearney near his residence when he was enjoying an evening stroll and charged him with loitering with intent to commit a felony.
The Constable laid a further charge of drunkenness although Mr. Kearney has only one drink of intoxicating liquor a year a glass of Port on Christmas Day.
The Station Inspector refused to accept the charges made by the Constable who has been reprimanded.
